ON Saturday an individual Stableford competition for the Cyril Masters Salver was held at Okehampton Golf Club.

The winner of division one was Steve Peake with 41 points and in second was Richard McFarlane with 40pts. Del Owen took third on the back nine with 39pts.

The winner of division two and the Cyril Masters Salver was James Stacey with an excellent 48pts.

Ron Copeland took second place with 42 points, Richard Reid was third with 41 pts.

Division three was won by Andrew Rogers with 41pts followed into second by Ben Ford with 40pts. Jonathan Tatman was third with 38 pts.

On August 12 Okehampton ladies had their annual away day and visited Ashbury Golf Hotel.

A jovial group gathered and a good day ahead was definitely on the cards.

A four ball better ball two scores to count was the format of the day and the winners, way out in front with a superb 94 points, were Lorna Evans, Penny Deakin, Maureen Willcocks and Ann Brokenbrow. Lady captain Lorna Evans presented the prizes after lunch.
