The good form of Josh Bullock, Tavistock's top road cyclist, has continued through the hill climbing season.

Josh finished fourth in a strong field that took part in the hill climb of Haytor, Dartmoor. The field included some of the region's top hill climbers. Last Sunday he finished second overall in the joint Tavistock Wheelers/ Yogi hill climb on the Merrivale Hill, leading up to Princetown. He was beaten into second place by only four seconds.

Twenty two members of Tavistock Wheelers took part in the hill climb and three members of Tavistock Triathlon Club were among the 42 cyclists who took part. There were other strong performances from Steve Cox, Tavistock, who came fourth overall and second in the club championship. Will Johnson, aged 16, was the best junior competing and was third in the club championship. Chris Beighton won the prize for most improved club rider. Hannah Colston was the best woman rider.

The number of competitors from Tavistock Wheelers was a new record for the club.
