IN this much anticipated game with league leaders Ivybridge unfortunately the game had to be abandoned after a bright start.
Tavistock won the toss and put the visitors into bat and made a great start when Ivybridge opener Andy Johnson was caught by Tavistock captain Shaun Daymond off the bowling of James McGahey for just one with the score on 27.
However, Abraham Kopparambil and Kelvin Trent steadied the ship adding 63 and 54, both not out, respectively. Then the rains came and unfortunately the umpires had no choice but to abandon it.
Tavistock remain in fifth place in the table.
