THROUGH your paper I would like  to say a big thank you to the people who helped us out of a tricky situation near Burrator on Good Friday. My daughter backed out of a car parking area and managed to leave the car suspended over a small wall . My grandchildren and I were waiting someway away from the car while the parents were trying to work out what to do when a party of walkers and their dog and a passing  runner offered to help. They carried stones, large rocks and branches and with the help of two car jacks  and a large log they all managed to get the car off the wall.  I would like to thank these people for their great kindness. We drove back to Tavistock and called in to Tavistock Tyre and Exhaust centre where the staff  very kindly checked the car over. They refused any payment. Thank you again. Caroline Lorenzi via email
