THE article in last week?s Times about cream teas served in Sourton parish hall should have stated that all profits will go towards the upkeep of St Thomas a Beckett Church in Sourton. Built between the 14th and 16th centuries, the church is in need of a glass screen between its tower and main building, to keep the congregation warmer in winter. Cream teas will be served in the hall along with light lunches, sandwiches and cakes on every bank holiday and all Sundays in August, and also on the last Sunday in July. Served from 1pm until 6pm, they are a perfect stop-off point for anybody cycling or walking along the granite way or hiking on the moors.
