FIRE crews from Okehampton and Launceston were called to reports of a vehicle on fire on the A30 between Stowford Cross and Sourton, heading towards Okehampton at 13.30pm last Friday.

On arrival, crews found a private vehicle well alight on the highway. They extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet, foam and a dry powder extinguisher.

The vehicle was severely damaged by the fire, which was believed to be accidental.
