TAMAR Trails parkrun recently celebrated its first anniversary by giving the run a Hallowe’en theme.

There was a tremendous turn out of costumes at the Woodlands course at Gulworthy.

The event continues to go from strength to strength with the average number per run since inception now standing at 97.8. A total of 16,506 miles have been run by the 1,577 runners taking part.

Trial spokesman Andy Houghton said: ‘The completion times of pretty well all regular runners has gone down but of course it is well recognised that the slowest participant is both the most important and bravest person on the day. They will always receive a warm welcome - whether they are in fancy dress or not!’
