THERE were 66 entrants for the Tavistock Wheelers' 25 mile time trial which started in Mary Tavy and headed out towards Sourton before returning to finish just on the outskirts of Tavistock at the Trout and Tipple pub.

The overall winner was Matt Langworthy from Mid Devon Cycling Club who was the only rider to break the one hour barrier.

More than 25 members of Tavistock Wheelers took part while other club members helped to marshall the event and provide cakes and tea at the race headquarters in the Tavistock Guildhall.
