A LOYAL hockey club member has been recognised for his considerable contributions to his sport.

Michelle Judge of Devon Hockey Association presented the Joan Treece Memorial Rose Bowl to Richard Jones from Okehampton Hockey Club.

The annual award has been given for his continued contribution to hockey in the County of Devon.

In conjunction with OCRA, Okehampton Hockey Club hosted a mixed hockey festival on Sunday.

The eight teams entered from Teign, North Devon, Okehampton, Tiverton and an invitational team. All enjoyed a day of competitive hockey with the Okehampton A team collecting the trophy.
