IN division one of the Okehampton and District Table Tennis League Horrabridge A were at home against Tavistock.

Although Horrabridge fought hard they could not stop the league champions winning the first eight games before John Stewart won the last singles, beating Roger Bowkett in the fourth leg; John joined Chloe Greenaway in the doubles, beating Roger and Fred Phillips who played his first game of the season.

The match finished 8-2 to Tavistock.

In the only other match this week Bridestowe were at home against Anchorage A. Bridestowe could only field two players. Mark Tancock won the first against Colin Brooker with Franciss Griffiths winning the next against Malcolm Hopkins to put Bridestowe 2-0 up.

Mark and Franciss went on to win their next two singles and Mark won the last singles against Malcolm to lead 6-3. A victory in the doubles led to a 7-3 victory to Bridestowe.
