TAVISTOCK junior triathlete, Pete Jarman, took part in the Exe Valley Triathlon which was held at Tiverton.

The race, organised by Exeter Triathlon Club had more than 300 entrants. 

Pete swam a 400m pool swim followed by a challenging 24k cycle negotiating fast and busy roads and roundabouts along the A396, and finishing with a 5k run.  Pete had a successful event finishing in a time of 1hour 7minutes and 39 seconds, improving on last years time by more than 10 minutes.  Pete won the youth male category and was seventh in the adult male category.

In the same week Pete also took part in the Okehampton cycle club 10 mile time trials held at Bridestowe, with a time of 27.53 minutes; he was the first junior to finish and improved on his previous time by more than minute.
