TAVISTOCK junior triathlete Pete Jarman, 15, took part in an aquathlon organised by the Packet of Three Triathlon Club at Plympton. 

The event started with a 500m pool swim, followed by a 5km run through Plympton and finishing with a lap around the cricket club grounds.  

Pete had an impressive swim, taking the lead in his heat.  The run which followed was hilly and demanding. 

Pete held on to his lead to win his category in a time of 29 minutes and was presented with the trophy for first male youth.

With the triathlon season now coming to an end, Pete would like to thank all his coaches who have helped him this year and Okehampton Cycles.
