A SMALL representation from the Jujitsu Tavistock, Launceston, Swindon and Torquay clubs have just returned from Italy after attending the international jujitsu summer camp.

Umberto Bergonzini, the Tavistock and Plymouth club instructor, and the group travelled to Italy joining a large number of martial artists from all over Europe who took part in the summer camp.

Umberto Bergonzini said: 'It was a fantastic week, filled with lots of hard training but at the same time with lots of fun. We all learnt a lot from the guest instructors, some of the best in the world.

'We got to practise in various disciplines, karate, aikido, goju ryu jujitsu and combat jujitsu. It was also good to share training tips and experiences with so many practitioners from different countries. We were also honoured to be asked to perform a martial arts demonstration for the holiday resort guests.

'All in all a wonderful experience and we are already looking forward to next year's camp.'
