Petroc division two Okehampton ladies seconds 0

Honiton Hornets

ladies 5

OKEHAMPTON started strongly against Honiton, a team they played and lost against earlier this season.

Oke started with simple effective passing between midfielders Viv Weatherington and Eve Colton to forwards and sisters Lotte and Winnie Rademaker.

However, with Honiton's strong counter attacks knocking through the home defence it was not long before visitors registered their first goal and Okehampton heads started to drop. By the end of the first half oke were down 3-0.

The second half saw more goals from Honiton.

The visitors reorganised their line up after the interval which brought a positive change. This was the turning point, as Okehampton made wave after wave of attack and redeemed themselves after a poor start to the second half.

Rochelle Hillier saved two goals on the line for Oke. Katie Adams, returning after injury, played her socks off to push the visitors forward and saw her dodge and dive the Honiton defence to give Oke a scoring opportunity which was sadly missed. Okehampton player of the match went to Katie Adams.
