NATHAN Newton from Tavistock Triathlon Club took part in the British Duathlon Championships in Bedford on Sunday.

The race which was a 10km run, followed by a 40 kilometre cycle and then a 5km run to finish all took place at the Bedford Autodrome. Nathan did extremely well and achieved a personal best time of 1 hour 53 minutes 33 seconds, placing 12th overall and fourth in his age group.

Also from Tavistock Triathlon Club, four ladies took part in the Exeter Triathlon Club Aquathlon in Dawlish. This race was a 600 metre pool swim and then a 5km run. Hannah Colston came home in 35 minutes 18 seconds, Sarah Hillson 37.07 (not pictured) Laura Newton 39.27, Lydia Scambler 40.05 and Karen McClung 43.32.
