WITH conditions barely above freezing the girls struggled to settle down into the match, despite this the goals started to flow for Tavistock from a dominant forward line this season of Abi Hall, Jo Gasper and Becky Lamb.
Balls in from Armstrong, White and Honey cut through the Penzance defensive line to make it 7-0 to the visitors at half time.
Tavistock took the positive score line as an opportunity to work the ball around, using the back line to switch the ball.
The cold conditions did take its toll with players missing some easy balls and topping several strikes. Undeterred Tavistock were on top throughout with Hall scoring eight goals with Honey and Armstrong the other two.
Tavistock remain one point from the top of Trelawney division one.

Plymouth University ladies 3
PLAY was intense from the first whistle and Plymouth University were the first to get on the score board with a fierce strike which left home keeper Viggers diving to the floor.
Tavistock fought back hard and a strong ball in from captain Armstrong saw Gasper slip the ball to Hall who found the back of the net. Two more goals followed before half time, which brought the score to 3-1.
In the second half Tavistock benefitted from a large squad. A superb one-two pass sequence between Honey and Lamb brought the next goal for Tavistock.
Plymouth University fought back hard, testing the defence of Colston, Patterson and Evans.
A quick break by the visitors brought them a second and soon after a short corner led to another to make it 3-4.
A tense last five minutes followed as Tavistock stepped up the defensive play and worked hard to keep possession. University had one final chance as a short corner but this was cleared by Mills Hills to ensure a well deserved win to Tavistock.
