TAVISTOCK netball team Condy Mathias Netball made a triumphant start to the second half of the season in the Plymouth and district Netball League, against their opponents University 2.

Condy made an excellent start with some good team work and were comfortably in front at the end of the first quarter, Uni 2 came back in the second quarter but outstanding defence work by the Tavistock team's Nic Phillps, Sam McPherson and Katherine Rees kept the Uni 2 shooters at bay. The third quarter was a bit harder for the Condy side as Uni made a couple of changes, but the centre court was kept in control by Condy's Helen Hicks and Cathy Guilfoy feeding shooters Katherine Dore and Sue Holland who both made the most of their chances.

Final score Condy Mathias 35 Uni 2 11.
