South West one
Tavistock men's A 9
Penzance men's A 4
THE route to improvement, although being a bit rocky at times, finally found its way on Saturday. Both sides, fielding what were strong sides, contested the three points from the start. Sargent-Megicks scored early on, after some fine individual skills.
Tom Honey for Tavistock dominated the middle, which allowed the other forwards of Walker, Elliott and Andrews to continue applying pressure.
The home side's midfield of Venton, Donnelly and Honey senior worked and linked well and opportunities came in abundance.
Walker scored a great goal after some hard work; the attacking back of Hanson also found himself in the D and hammered a goal in.
Honey junior scored a powerful couple of goals but Penzance continued to look dangerous on the break and found space a few times to keep the pressure up.
Captain Anning was solid at the back and distributed well and Tosdevin and Mason held the sides together. Pugsley had another commanding game in goal. It was a great performance by the second XI, who worked as a team.
