East Cornwall Premier
Tavistock Reserves 2
St Dominic 2
TAVISTOCK Reserves got off to a great start against their local rivals as they opened the scoring in the eighth minute when James Phelps converted a penalty kick. The visitors responded well and went close through Dyer, followed by a good save by the Tavistock goalkeeper from Keith.
The Lambs increased their lead in the second minute of the second half when a good pass put Ian Rooke in on goal to make it 2- 0. St Dominic continued to work hard and were rewarded for their efforts when Howard Clarke was on hand to convert a fine cross from Jacob Clarke.
Both teams continued to create chances, but the home team failed to press home their advantage. St Dominic equalised in the 75th minute to take a share of the points. The Lambs pressed for a winner but failed to make the most of their home advantage and had to settle for a disappointing draw after letting their two goal lead slip.
