Tavistock Athletic Club members are busy gearing up for an exciting Tavy 13 half marathon.

The race will take place on Sunday, March 30, and is hosted by Tavistock Athletic Club and sponsored by Tavistock estate agents Gibbs Kirby.

The route, which starts at Tavistock College, will take runners on a scenic tour of the town, through leafy lanes and pretty villages, cycle tracks and will incorporate some lovely hills before meandering back into Tavistock for a final lap of the athletics track.

All proceeds from the event will be going towards the community athletics track at Tavistock College.

In addition to the half marathon, Tavistock Athletic Club is hosting the conclusion of the Tavy 13 primary challenge, when local children will complete the final mile of the challenge on the athletics track whilst the main race is taking place.

Tavistock Athletic Club prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming club and new runners are always made very welcome.

So if you fancy training for this event with enthusiastic, like minded people come and join them.

The club meets at Tavistock College at 6.15pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Beginners groups are led by qualified and experienced leaders who are there to help you achieve your goals.
