THERE was a good contingent out representing Tavistock Triathlon Club at the weekend at the Burrator Noir (Wild Night Run).

Runners had a selection of distances of 1k, 2k, 5k, 10k and 10metres and club members competed across a range of options.

TTC’s Hannah Smith was the first female over the 5k distance; Lindsay Hobbs came third in her age group over the 10k distance while Cassandra McDowall was placed second in her age group over the 10k distance.

James Bale, from Tavistock Triathlon Club, said: ‘A really special mention needs to go to club member Olivia Searle who completed her first ever race when she finished the 5k and took home her first ever event medal. Well done Olivia.

‘It was a fantastic night of racing in cold, wet and dark conditions.’
