Tavistock's Squash Team played their third game in the Plymouth Company Squash League beating Virgin Active seconds.
The Tavistock team were represented by Steve Tripp, Stuart Cox, Nigel Eadie, Will Westlake, and Simon Powell.
Simon Powell lost his game 3-0 with Will Westlake pulling back with a 3-1 win. Nigel Eadie went 2-0 up quite quickly but was pegged back to 2-2 before finishing the stronger to take the match 3-2.
Stuart Cox also had a tight match winning the fifth set for 3-2 victory while Steve Tripp lost out 1-3.
Tavistock still won the fixture 3-2 and scored 13 points to Virgin's 8.
The team's next game is home fixture to Construction Services.
Tavistock Squash and Racketball Club held its monthly club night competition November 11. This event was a quarterly handicapped squash tournament with players trying to win through to the main final or the plate final.
The competition was won by Robin Burdfield who beat Nigel Eadie in the final in an hard fought match of determined play with neither player giving an inch. In the plate final Paul Trueman beat Mike Benstead in another tough game with Paul managing to overcome a seven shot deficit to win.
Next month the club is holding a blue ball team squash festive competition.
