IT was a great day for TyreMarks Racing of Tavistock on Sunday in round two of the SWOR Motocross Champion-ship at Crediton Raceway, put on by Chard MX club.

It was incredibly tough conditions with the relentless rain all day, but this did not stop the competitors giving everything and it showed.

Reegan West had poor starts in the first two races but he fought his way from last through the pack up to a fifth place across the finish line in both races. In his third race he had a much better start and was in third on the first lap and showing pace was soon up to second place and gaining on the leader. However, a slight mistake cost him about ten seconds and the chances of a win but he regained his composure and finished the race in a comfortable second place. This gave Reegan second overall on the day and his first trophy of the season in the senior class.

Jack Napier Jones started race one promisingly with second on the first lap, but unfortunately he was forced to retire with bike problems.

After some maintenance he had a good second race, but he topped the day off with an awesome third race chasing his dad, Justin, off the line - they came around on the first lap in second and third place. Jack soon passed his dad and was in second place and after some seriously good lines he managed to get past to take the lead and kept this till the finish flag giving him his first Junior Elite Class win at the age of 15.

Justin Napier showed how serious and fast he still is — at 47 he is probably the oldest junior elite rider on the line and also one of the fastest. With two out of three holeshots, he showed incredible skill and experience keeping it all together to finish an amazing 2-5-3, this gave Justin first place overall on the day

This Sunday takes us to Landrake Moto Parc for round three of the SWOR Championship hosted by Dartmoor MX Club.
