Tavistock men 7

THIS match really was exhibition hockey at times for the Tavistock men's first team.
The side is really playing some excellent hockey this season, and the quality of play extends throughout the squad.
Fast passing and running off the ball is cutting the opposition to shreds in some games and this game was no exception.
Solid at the back with a reshuffled defence, there were minimal troubles for the home side, but when called on, keeper Matt Grahame pulled out a couple of superb saves.
Tavistock captain Wood, with the solid Carr and Hutchins, managed most that came at them. Berry assisted in a more defensive role and this just added to the strength.
With the Stanbury brothers playing some skilful hockey, the ball was flowing through to Honey who commanded the middle and created chances galore.
With Chamberlain and Bayliss pressing at any opportunity, the speed of the attacks were impossible to counter for the visitors.
Richards continued to create mayhem and Fenwick obviously scared them so much he had two players chasing him wherever he went, but to no avail.
Seven unanswered goals rattled into the visitors' net, with some stylish moves across the pitch. The pick of the bunch was that of Richards, who came on after a break and ran a straight line from the halfway and with his first touch hammered a goal into the net.
