Tavistock B men 2

MISSING a few key players and facing a young and lively team, that were sitting above them in the league, Tavistock B knew that this would be a challenge.
The University started attacking straight away and the pace of their play, was a change to what the home side normally face. However, what they lacked in skill, they had in abundance in pace and directness.
Tavistock weathered the initial onslaught and began to work their way into the game, although they were not playing their usual structured game.
The home side managed to create their chances and the ever improving Dom Walker was unlucky not to get onto the score sheet again.
A half time installed some structure and composure to the home side and although the University’ continued their direct approach, Tavistock matched them in intensity but beat them in skill and composure.
Maxa was always dangerous out wide and linking well with the vision of Staig, which this proved to be a dangerous element to the team, especially with the tenacious Kirwen behind them. The first goal came to Andrews after a fine run by Jake Walker, following a direct pass from Honey in the centre.
The University continued to press but never really looked like beating Osborne in the Tavistock goal and especially the strong defensive pairing of Gott and Curl.
The second goal came from another great team move and coolly finished by Walker to give Tavistock a league boost that they deserve and another scalp in what is proving to be a developing team.
