TAVISTOCK again used their large squad with a handful of players sitting out but they still managed to field the maximum allowed, until a late injury to Honey.
Tavistock started in a positive fashion and took the game to the students right from the whistle. Orman was orchestrating the forward line and Tavistock were dangerous running at the student defence.
Not much time had gone when the first goal was netted after a fine move down the centre.
The structure of the home side gave Tavistock confidence and Anning held the midfield with nobody passing him. Gott, Berry, Hansen and Stanyer for Tavistock were all solid and added an extra attacking dimension.
With the speed on the flanks of Donnelly, new player Hancox and the cutting edge of Stanyer junior working with Walker, the goals started to flow. The linking off the ball was superb and some great goals were created.
Unfortunately Tavistock picked up a few injuries, which are a worry when looking towards a tough league game against East Devon, but again the size of the squad will add strength in depth.
Tavistock were never really troubled in the D, but any strikes at goal were confidently managed by Pugsley, who was taking his turn from Tavistock’s other keeper Osborne.
Tavistock ended this game worthy winners with goals via Orman, Donnelly, Walker and Hancox.
