BIDEFORD was the destination for athletes from Tavistock Athletic Club last Sunday, for the last race in the series of three they host each year.
The ‘10-Miler’ is a beautiful run, taking in the coast at Instow and the Tarka Trail. Conditions were spot on for this time of year; cold, crisp and a bit of wind to keep runners cool.
As ever the running course was superbly organised and mar-shalled by Bideford Athletic Club and well supported in the town by the local community.
First home for TAC, and third overall in his category was Tony Shearer with an excellent time of 1 hour 20 minutes, 20 seconds.
Behind him were athletes for TAC which included veterans and newcomers alike. With superb runs all round, and plenty of personal bests, all agreed it was hard to think of better way to spend a Sunday morning.
