THE first Tavistock junior table tennis tournament was played at Horrabridge School on Sunday March 25, and was well represented with 34 juniors aged between 8 to 15 years-old taking part.

The tournament was supported by Horrabridge Cavaliers.

Results: U16s: 1, Tim Westcott; 2, Heath Marker. U13s: 1, Ben Evans; 2, Harry Barnaby. U11s: 1, Louis Peake; 2, Jack Horton. U9s: 1, Adam Sellars; 2, Thomas Doidge.

Fred Phillips, chairman of Okehampton Table Tennis Club congratulated Roger Bowkett on his dedication and organisation to table tennis, also to the many helpers and coaches from Okehampton Table Tennis Club, Mike Hugh, Martin Fowler, Lorraine Robinson, Bob Easton, Rob Newcombe, Michael Marker, Roy Young, Amanda Westcott and Laura Westcott.
