STUDENT of the month for August from the South West Kickboxing Academy and Martial Arts (SWKA) is 2nd Dan Chris Morgan. Chris has been training with 4th Dan Steve Lilley since the club formed in March 2008 and trained with Steve under 9th Dan Gary Harrison before the forming of the SWKA. Chris has recently turned his hand into 1-2-1 coaching during sessions, along with regular commitment to training despite travelling from near Bodmin to train in Tavistock. Chris has started to coach students as well as working on improving his own performance and enjoys meeting and working with new and experienced students. The SWKA current has a small number of spaces for new students on a Friday night at Tavistock Sports Centre from 7.35pm to 9pm.
