CROSS country season came to a close in the Duchy College Performance Sport Cross Country League this month with triumphant pupils from Stoke Climsland Primary School lifting the trophy. More than 100 runners representing primary schools in East Cornwall took part in the last race of the league. The four race league has been organised by Duchy College Sport lecturer and coach Ryan Le-Doux-Lucas with help from his students. During the season intrepid pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have run various one and two mile courses around the Stoke Climsland campus. Overall first place winners in Year three were Emily Doey and Zac Sleep, both from Stoke Climsland School. Their fellow pupil Charlotte Cox won the girls' event in Year four and Bethaney Stephen in Year five while in Year six Harry Harvey won the boys. Stoke Climsland School pupils had a final score of 1,321 points gaining them first place overall with Tregadillett second and Coads Green in third.
