THREE Tavistock College students have been setting the standards high in their fields of sport.

Twin sisters Clarissa and Annabell Mears attended the Southern Championship for Tae Kwon Do last month.

They competed in sparring — tag team, where a team of three spar one after the other to win the most points overall. The sisters competed against each other and Annabell's team won the gold medal by one point.

The sisters paid tribute to their instructor Will Paine from the TAGB for his help in their recent achievements.

While Darcey Hepworth was selected for the Devon girls' football squad and offered a place in the Centre for Excellence. She was also made player of the match during a recent game when they beat Bristol 5-0.
