THE Son-Rise Cup Festival has attracted 110 football teams so far for the Tavistock tournament on May 19 and 20.

Organiser Allen Lewis said: 'We will hold the closing date for as long as we can as to give teams a chance to enter.

'The mens tournament is the strongest its ever been with lots of new sides taking part including Ocean BMW, Ocean Mini and Ocean Motor Bikes! With the backing from the FA and the Respect Programme we hope to really put the event on the map for Tavistock.'

Robin Rich, chairman of the committee, is thrilled by the response of local businesses in supporting the festival and wishes to thank them all for their ongoing support.
