Okehampton Mark Park Larkers A v Lifton

ON a rare sunny Tuesday evening Okehampton won the toss and put the visitors into bat.

The away team made a good start with the opening partnership between Brown and Kneebone with the latter scoring 22 runs before being dismissed by Steve Sizmur.

It was first of Sizmur's victims in the match and he went on to achieve a club record with figures of 7-14.

Okehampton's captain Lee Juston picked up two wickets and another from Jake Barber dismissed Lifton in just 14 overs for 56 runs.

The modest total paved for an easy victory for the home team. Okehampton knocked up the required runs in just 6.2 overs. The runs came from Jon Shepard, who was caught of Edmonds' bowling for 12 while Gary Sizmur hit 36 not out - leaving him with an average for the season so far of 188.

Okehampton who field two teams in the league are continuing to recruit new players with matches every Tuesday and youth training on Monday evenings.
