THE short mat section of the Tavistock Bowling Club held their Autumn Tournament earlier this month.  Twelve teams from around the county took part and everyone had an enjoyable day.

The winners were the Bere Alston team of Liz Percival, Tom Percival, Jack Hurdon and George Blackburn — the latter being a member of the Tavistock club who stepped in at the last minute as Bere Alston were one player short.  The runners-up were Bow. Organisers thanked all those members who helped make the tournament such a great success.
