A NUMBER of Tavistock Swimming Club members competed in the Plymouth Leander level one long course swimming gala which was held at the Life Centre in Plymouth.
The 13 members competed in a total of 45 events, achieving 24 personal best times, while many of the other times produced were just outside their entry times.
Overall, seven top 10 positions were gained by the Tavistock swimmers, with three silver medals won.
It was an excellent experience for these swimmers to observe and compete against British swimming squad members.

The Tavistock swimmers who took part in the gala were James Anderson, Olivia Bates, Jessamy Clemens, Matt Edwards, Laura Meredith, Daisy Morgan, George Morgan, Kieran Rookes, Nathaniel Rookes, Luke Stephens, Izzy Teague, Sarah Teague and Beth Thompson.
