TAVISTOCK were very much on top against their Cornish opponents.

The match started with positive play from both teams. The first goal came when a short corner was awarded to Tavistock. A hard strike from captain Armstrong opening the scoring when the ball deflected in off the keeper.

Bude's most threatening players had several hard hits being cut out by defenders Hannah Colston, George Patterson and Ellie Evans. Quick to break Tavistock passed the ball around and the second goal came from centre half Robynne Honey who moved the ball through the Bude defence to Armstrong who scored with a reverse stick strike.

Tavistock now dominated and another goal followed from a hard strike from Jo Gasper.

The fourth goal came from another short corner with the ball being passed from Gasper, to Becky Lamb, to Armstrong to finish as Tavistock led 4-0 at half time.

In the second half Tavistock capitalised on the overlap in players with a superb goal from Abi Hall who drew the keeper and then sliced the ball in.
