Tavistock 2

Tavistock suffered first defeat of the year. Spirits were high in the visitors camp after consecutive wins but this was always going to be a tough one.

The game started at a fast pace and both sides moved the ball around well. Chances were created at both ends but it was Penzance that struck first through their fast forwards and clinical finishing.

James scored a fine goal for Tavistock when he slide in at the far post and deflected the ball into the goal when it looked as though he wouldn't reach it.

Into the second half and Penzance went 3-1 up before Matt Edwards finished off a good Tavistock move to bring hope of salvaging something from the game but it wasn't to be.

Penzance went on to score two more to make the final score 5-2.

This was perhaps a harsh scoreline for Tavistock considering the hard work that went into the performance.
