Devon seconds B Tavistock seconds v Sidmouth thirds TAVISTOCK notched up a good win over league leaders Sidmouth on Saturday to improve their own position. The West Devon side put Sidmouth into bat and steady bowling by Mark Hopkins and Wayne Downham put them on the back foot. Hopkins took two wickets while the introduction of young James White meant even more problems for the batsmen. Taylor was the only one to offer resistance with a well made 36. Andy Gauler and Sam Willets ripped out the middle order and 126 all out was not a par score. Tavistock started really well with 68 for the first wicket, Marc Webber playing a captain innings with 54 and Sam Willets ably assisting with 22. However, a mini collapse saw the side fold to 116 -7 before Wayne Downham and Mark Hopkins took them over the winning line. Graham Munday's 3 for 13 was the best of the bowlers.
