Oke ladies seconds 5

White Eagles thirds 1

The first half saw a spectacular performance from Okehampton's youngsters.

Midfielders Anna Cherrington, Viv Weatherington, and Rochelle Hillier swept the ball effortlessly across the pitch to forwards Winnie Rademaker, Molly Petherbridge and Holly Yelland.

Within minutes of the starting whistle, Rademaker teased the Eagles defensive with her skills before pummelling the ball across the goal line, to open the scoring.

Shortly after Okehampton pounced again when the ball come loose and trickled out to Anna Cherrington to smash home for 2-0. Okehampton kept up the pressure and soon after Petherbridge defied the Eagles defence to make it 3-0 at half time.

The second half saw an even more calculated and skilled Okehampton side. Defensive players Nicola Stoneman, Sophie Tripp and Hannah Whitely marked Eagle's players closely and denied their goal-scoring opportunities. Oke keeper Jenny Humphrys rarely made contact with the ball but co-ordinated her defensive team impeccably.

The Oke defensive play demonstrated the potential for this young side. Midway through the half, intelligent passing among the Okehampton side saw further waves of attacks to sett up Petheridge to score two further goals.

A momentary lapse in concentration saw the Eagles score in the second half but it was too late.

Player of the match was awarded to Oke's Molly Petherbridge for outstanding performance.
