SARAH Teague from Tavistock Swimming Club was delighted to receive awards for the best youth girl and top overall girl at the Plymouth Cities Swimming Gala 2017.

The awards evening was held at the Lord Mayor’s Parlour in Plymouth in December and the trophies were presented by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Wendy Foster. 

Sarah competed in 11 events at the competition, winning four gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the heats. The finals were held for the 100m events and she qualified for those in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and individual medley.

Club president Sue Dunstan said: ‘Tavistock Swimming Club is very proud of Sarah who, coached by James Lake, trains conscientiously, regularly representing  the club in county and regional competitions.’
