HE sun shone and beamed down for the grand opening of Legend Park at Princetown on Saturday.

It was a culmination of two years’ work by Princetown Football Club to raise the funds, get the necessary permission and open their new home and it was a great kick-off with a football cup to play for between Princetown FC and Tavistock Community Football Club.

It could not have gone better for the home side with a 6-2 win to take the trophy. Earlier Princetown U16s enjoyed a 6-1 win over their guests Keyham Kolts.
