TAVISTOCK junior triathlete Pete Jarman was in action at Saltash Aquathlon organised by Tamar Trotters Athletic Club. 

Pete competed in the senior event which consisted of a 500m pool swim followed by a 5k road run along the streets of Saltash.    

The aquathlon was held on the same day that the Olympic Torch was passing through Saltash, and to commemorate this all the competitors were presented with a medal with the torch on it.

Pete finished first in the male youth category and the whole aquathlon in 29 minutes and 29 seconds.

Pete, 15, who is a student at Tavistock College trains with Tavistock Athletic Club and Tavistock Swim Club and competed on behalf of Plymouth Triathlon Club.
