TAVISTOCK junior triathlete Pete Jarman took part in the third event of the Exeter Triathlon Club Aquathlon series which was held at Middlemoor Police Station. 

There was a record number of entries for the event  and the weather conditions on the day were favourable for the competitors.

Pete competed in the youth category (15-16 year-olds).  His event consisted of a 600m pool swim followed by a 5k run around the grounds of the police station. 

In a competitive race Pete finished in third place.

Pete, a Year 10 student at Tavistock College, is a member of Tavistock Athletic Club and Tavistock Swim Club and competed on behalf of Plymouth Triathlon Club. 

He is now training for his next event, the Exe Valley Triathlon.  Pete would like to thank Darren Bostock of Okehampton Cycles who has kindly offered free servicing of his bike.
