Taunton Civil Service 1

Okehampton 6

THE game started tentatively and neither side really pushed the game at all until the hosts took the lead with a swift counter attack.

Civil Service looked the more threatening and it took quality tackles from Liversidge, Bingham and Cooper plus some superb keeping from Harvey to prevent them extending their lead.

The away side won a couple of short corners and went close on a few occasions, the first half ending with Okehampton down to ten players when Greg Williams received a yellow card after the whistle for the break had been blown.

With ten players at the restart they stepped up their game up - Luke Miller and Josh Balsdon going forward with the back four and keeper looked solid.

The visitors equalised through Sam Spry from a short corner but shortly afterwards the goalscorer twisted his ankle and couldnt continue.

Oke's Williams found Mark Parsons with a fizzing drive and the later deflected the ball home to give the away side the lead.

The visitors became more and more threatening, Miller found Parsons who reversed it past the keeper before Parsons the smashed home his hat-trick from a short corner. Quick thinking from the skipper saw his shot run across the D to Miller who reversed it home for the fifth, Williams then set Parsons away down the left and after beating his man crossed for Miller who fired it back across goal for Lewis Day to volley home for his first first team goal.
