THREE members of Okehampton Running Club enjoyed perfect running weather to tackle the Dawlish Coasters 'O My Obelisk' – a race of more than 11 miles of trails and roads.

With a good deal of mud and steep hills from Dawlish out to the Obelisk and back Marilyn Cooper was first home for ORC in 1 hour 53 minutes 05 seconds to win the FV60 trophy. Close behind was Deborah Cunningham for whom this race was ideal training for her upcoming Grizzly race in March. Deborah completed in 1.54.37.

Dave Slocombe, who ran here in the inaugural race ten years ago, completed in 2.00.34.

A few weeks previously Dave ran the Torrington Christmas Caper, a similar type of race, finishing in 1.39.05.
