OKEHAMPTON Running Club member Mags Jarvis finished the scenic Grassmere Gallop 10k trail race on a wet day in 58.12. This was a successful day for the family as daughter Sarah won the ladies' race and was third overall. There are many reasons for running races as proved by ORC members Abbi Metherell, Hannah Woods and Beki Simmons who teamed up with friends Lucy Brint and Linda Sparey to run the Rainbow Run for Children's Hospice South West. They had great fun and have so far raised over £234 for the charity. They turned up at Exeter Racecourse for the 5k run wearing white shirts and were showered with paint along the route to finish up – well, more colourful than any rainbow!
