A STUDENT from Okehampton College has leapt ahead of the pack to be named the British Schools Gymnastic Association South West regional schools' trampoline U19s intermediate champion.

Imogen Spooncer, aged 14, was among 17 youngsters competing at the South West regional schools' trampoline competition on November 30.

She will now go on to represent the college at the southern zonal schools' competition in January.

All 17 children, who train at Launceston Leisure Centre on Sundays, were accompanied by their coach Anne Dodds. Trampolining is available in Okehampton, contact OCRA on 01837 54546 for more information.
