Okehampton men's B 3
Okehampton men's B team thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Teignmouth in a quality match played in the true spirit of the game. A new partnership of John Jarvis and Steve Parsons got off to flying start taking the first set 6-2. They hit a purple patch to establish a 5-1 lead in the second set before the opposition staged a dramatic comeback to level at 5-5.
However, they regathered their thoughts and took the set 7-5. They found it hard to adjust to the power and strength of Teignmouth`s first pair and lost the first set 2-6. They managed to pin the opposition to the baseline and pick off their volleys to take the second set 6-3. Unfortunately they could not maintain this momentum and lost the championship tiebreak 6-10.
