THE Tribute Southwest Winter Foursomes third round was held at Yelverton Golf Club on December 1.

Reigning champion Nick Horrocks and partner Dave Walley made it safely through, as did Yelverton head professional Tim McSherry. One notable casualty was ex-Challenge Tour player and Yelverton assistant pro Adam Frayne. He and his junior partner Megan Giles went down fighting, losing by one hole.

Shot of the day was by Yelverton member Joe Yorke, who holed out from 150 yards on the 20th hole to win the match, which was the second time this has been done in this competition.
