TAVISTOCK AFC are delighted to announce that Neil Warnock will be bringing his full Leeds United squad to Langsford Park for a friendly fixture on Monday, July 23 with a 7pm kick-off.
Leeds United, steeped in history, is one of the most famous clubs in the country. During the 1970s and 1980s they proved to be among the top teams in Europe. The likes of Billy Bremner, Jack Charlton, Johnny Giles, Terry Cooper, Norman Hunter... are to name but a few of their outstanding players in that star studded line-up. The team almost proved to be invincible during this era and many of the team became household names.
Derek Pethick, Tavistock AFC's treasurer said: 'There is no doubt that Leeds will be looking to gain promotion to the Premiership this season, in order to take their rightful place with the footballing elite. This is a great opportunity for the people of Tavistock and the surrounding area to see a top quality side play on Langsford Park.'
The match will be all ticket. Tickets can also be booked in advance by contacting 07875 604526. Tickets booked in advance are to be paid for and collected from the Red and Black Club Crowndale Road, Tavistock.
The club house will be open for ticket collection and sales on three consecutive Saturdays from June 23 to July 7 from 9.30am to 2pm. Tickets can also be bought from Active Co., Tavy Cycles, Tavistock Hire Centre and Turners of Roborough from Saturday.
